Healthy Living

Healthy living involves making choices to promote wellbeing in all areas of life – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It is doing what you can to help yourself be healthy and feel good.

When life gets busy we tend to let some of these good practices go because we feel we don’t have time for them or they just don’t seem as important as other things we have to do. However, taking time to care for yourself will help you in all areas of life. When we don’t practice healthy habits it becomes more difficult to handle everyday stresses and to cope with more difficult situations. So make the effort to help yourself out. This may include:

  • Eating regular meals
  • Prepping healthy food for the week ahead
  • Going for a walk each day
  • Breaking exercise down into 5 -10 minute mini workouts in your day
  • Walking, cycling, or rollerblading to and from work
  • Making that doctor’s appointment
  • Taking time to meditate or pray each day
  • Connecting with someone you’re close to each day
  • Improving the quantity or quality of your sleep (see Sleep tab)
